Projects Under Construction
There are days when it feels as though there are a thousand stories I want to tell, and not enough hours in five lifetimes to get them all out. Perhaps one day someone will invent a brain interface where an artist can upload all their half-formed ideas into a database, instead of scribbling them down in fear of losing them.
Included here is a list of what's to come. This is by no means exhaustive, complete, or written in stone. Unless otherwise stated, these are very much under formation.

Orion, Lady of the Sea
The fantastical tale of pirates and their ship, who are actually deserters from a military naval force, and a sentient-class submarine capable of shifting to emulate any type of marine life it desires. Think "Twenty-Thousand Leagues Under the Sea" meets "2001: A Space Odyssey." Complete with Hal saying, "I'm sorry, Dave. I can't do that." Target length- short story. Ruxtussi
A series of science fiction novellas about Homo sapiens genetically bred and trained to be sold as "pets" for wealthy members of the intergalactic community. Fang & Fire
A speculative fiction story about two warrior spirits struggling to thrive in a country fighting a battle waging on two fronts. Target length- novella+. |
Blood Red
A second story in Black's world, told from Jhez's point of view, with a fresh character for a co-star. Target length- another standalone novel. The Trunk Novel: Dancing Circles
A military fantasy, set on an agrarian world. Its starring characters are a displaced successor to the family fortune, and a shifter on the down-low. Both are conscripted into service. This is a full-blown "Chip Foose Overhaul" of a story that's been around for twenty years. Literally. In a footlocker in the corner of my living room. It's being stripped to its skeleton, reinforced, and rebuilt. Mystery & the Beast
Speculative fiction rendition of biblical concepts from the book of Revelations, with characters interpreted as old-school, abandoned gods from various religions. Target length- novella. |
