The Official Author Bio Goes Something Like This --
Rhi’s formative years were spent steeped in military culture (envision a teabag with scalding hot water drenching it and yeah that's about as accurate a mental image as I can evoke for you) and it influences every story in some way. Though focusing mainly on speculative fiction, Rhi enjoys spicing it up with mystery, horror, and romance aspects to form a story that often defies an easy label. Next to Elizabeth Moon and Meredith Ann Pierce, Rhi counts Jane’s Defense and Popular Science among still-strong influences.
The Informal Description is something more along the lines of this --
Alright, here it is plain and simple. I'm addicted to writing and I cannot go even an hour or two without my fingers twitching to pick up a fountain pen and scribble in a notebook. It's always been this way. I was doing it before I could even read or write, mimicking my mother as she wrote letters to acquaintances with long streams of squiggles and loops while dictating to my hand. I used to have a collection of Really Nice Notebooks that had nothing in them because I needed whatever I wrote in them to be Special. I have recently discovered that everything I write qualifies under that heading and I'm not waiting around for some sunbeam to pierce through the clouds like a javelin of inspiration or epiphany. Every story is special, and every story deserves to be told. So I'm telling them.
